How We Write and Review Our Guides

Every guide on this site is written by someone who plans pitches and checked by the licensed crew that builds them.

Who writes our guides

Our guides are written by Isaac Rau, our Fields Consultant. He plans pitches with families every week, so the sizes, layouts and options on this site come from real yards.

Who reviews them

Anything about turf, sizes, walls, netting or installation is reviewed by Steve Ortega, who has installed artificial turf for more than 30 years. Answers about licensing and who builds your pitch are reviewed by Claudia Ortega, holder of CA State Contractors License #1150527.

Each guide shows who wrote it, who reviewed it and when it was last updated.

Where our facts come from

Field sizes and layouts come from the pitches our crews have planned and built. When we mention youth soccer guidance, such as England’s FA guidance on board height for enclosed small-sided pitches, we only state what we can check against the original source.

If we can’t verify a claim, we leave it out.

Updates and corrections

We review our guides when products, prices or guidance change. If you spot something that’s wrong or out of date, email isaac@minisoccerpitch.com and we’ll fix it.

Our relationship with Turf Plus Pro

Mini Soccer Pitch is affiliated with Turf Plus Pro, which installs every pitch we arrange. We recommend the options we build and install ourselves, and we say so on the page.
