Early February 2026

Turf rolls going down

The new turf went down in long rolls, one strip at a time, with seam tape laid out under every joint before the next roll goes down beside it.

Seams joined across the field

Each roll was joined to the next along the seam tape. Done right, a seam disappears into the field, which is what you want under a ball rolling at full speed.

Mid February 2026

Lines and logos inlaid

Field lines and the school logos are inlaid in colored turf instead of painted on top, so they hold their color. White and yellow lines let the field host more than one sport.

The finished field

The field was finished and walked in March 2026. New turf edge to edge, crisp lines, the school logo at midfield and full-size goals backed by netting.

Ball-stop netting on tall poles runs around the field. On a campus next to roads and a freeway, it keeps balls in play and off the street, the same reason families add netting at home.

Walk the field

A member of the install team walks the field after the lines and logos went in, from the sideline markings to the logo at midfield.

Every detail you see here, the seams, the inlaid lines, the netting, is the same work that goes into a backyard pitch, just at a bigger scale.

What this means for your yard

A school field and a backyard pitch are built the same way. A level, draining base. Turf seamed so you can’t feel the joins. Lines that last. Netting where balls would otherwise end up in the street or the neighbor’s yard.

The crew that built this field builds our backyard, front yard and driveway pitches too.
